He has experience in disputes related to construction and infrastructure projects, energy, oil and gas, distribution of goods and services, commercial agency, and corporate disputes.
José Nicolás has served as counsel, arbitrator, and secretary in domestic arbitrations under the rules of the Arbitration and Conciliation Centers of the Chambers of Commerce of Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, and Cartagena, as well as in international arbitrations under the institutional rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB).
In addition to his experience in the private sector, where he was part of the dispute resolution teams at leading law firms in the country, José Nicolás is a leading expert in corporate litigation and disputes related to the insolvency regime; matters in which he served as a Legal Advisor and Judge at the Superintendency of Companies.
