On December 29, 2025, Decrees 1496 y 1470 of 2025 were issued, establishing the increase of the legal monthly minimum wage (LMMW) and the legal transportation allowance for the year 2026, respectively.

| Value for 2026 | $1.750.905 | $249.095 |
| Increases | 23% | 24,5% |
The following considerations are relevant in this regard:
- The increases must be applied as of January 1st, 2026.
- The statutory footwear and endowment allowance, as well as the statutory transportation or connectivity allowance, in cases where the employment contract is performed under a telework arrangement, applies to employees who earn up to COP 3,501,810 (2 LMMV).
¿Who is required to increase the minimum wage?

There is no legal obligation requiring that employees who earn more than 1 LMMW receive an increase to their salary in line with the increase of the monthly minimum wage, CPI, inflation or any other item. However, there is an exception where there is an agreement with the employer written in the employment agreements, the Internal Work Regulations, a collective pact, a collective bargaining agreement, an arbitral award or another document specific to the employment relationship.
